Qualifications
The candidate must have extensive experience working with State Highway Administration – Maryland Department of Transportation as well as local government transportation engineering departments, consultants, and contractors
15+ years of experience in bridges/structural engineering design
5+ years of experience and proven track record of success in designing complex bridge projects
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus in structural engineering
Demonstrated experience working with MDOT-SHA and local government transportation departments on bridge and structural projects
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work independently performing various tasks as follows:
Perform structural analysis and design for bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, pipes, and other transportation structures, including new, replacement, and rehabilitation of bridges for MDOT-SHA and local agencies
