Data Entry Clerk – Manufacturing 

Edinboro, PA

Create and update process sheets using various computer applications and route to appropriate departments and maintain revision logs Audit, create, and maintain master BLIS and factor cards which may include casting weights, pour weights, core weights and other information

  • Apply standards and standard data to calculate product costs and productivity measurements
  • Perform time study observations including calculating performance ratings, personal and fatigue allowances, and the tabulation of time standards
  • Develop and maintain information systems for various Industrial Engineering functions Interact with and provide information to various groups and departments
  • Build and maintain labor standards by use of time and motion study, standard data, and predetermined time, including tabulation of standard times through performance rating and application of personal and rest allowances
  • Able to interpret blueprints and to facilitate the development of process cards through the PPIC process; Also involves updating and auditing casting cost new and/or due to engineering changes of editing jobs
  • Assist in taking work sample studies including tabulation of data and spreadsheet input
  • Perform departmental incentive audits with the completed documentation recommending action based on the results
  • Take initiative when contributing to team activities for problem solving
  • Offer continuous improvement ideas for work operations both in the shop and the department on best methods by task and individual part numbers
  • Maintain database files for departmental machine set-up and control including melt and mold iron chemistry, automatic finishing centers and core production
  • Audit, verify, and/or update process (factor) cards and other elements required on the 20/80 job cost list for review
  • Audit and review production counts, incentive, daywork, delay time, payroll account numbers, and time sheets (both auto and manual)
  • Resolve any discrepancies on incentive rate sheets prior to Payroll releasing.

Conduct special projects in order to provide information and/or decisions for process change considerations Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner

Requirements

Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member High school diploma plus associate degree, or equivalent; One year of experience preferred Proficient in the use of computers to administer process and factor card updates including development of new or revised area templates Diversified work of a technical/statistical nature
