Top Gun Staffing Inc has an excellent direct hire opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Jonesville, MI area. This is a first shift position, 75k in annual compensation with benefits.

 Job Summary: Financial Business Partner to both the finance and operational team, providing analysis for decision making.

Required Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Finance/Business (accounting / finance designation is a plus)
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an analytically focused role
  • Experience within a standard costing environment (automotive manufacturing is preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Specific manufacturing accounting experience
  • Excellent problem solving, teamwork, communication, and organization skills
  • Knowledge of customer portals and tooling requirements for reimbursement
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, analyze data, pay close attention to detail, and be thorough and accurate
  • Must have a good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949

Essential Functions:

  • Generate and provide critical and actionable analysis for key operational and financial performance indicators
  • Provide leadership and ownership in the manufacturing costing function
  • Provide financial visibility on newly awarded business by coordinating and assisting in the presentation of monthly financial updates to the operational team on financial status
  • Provide leadership and analysis assistance in the preparation of timely and comprehensive business cases for capital spending (make versus buy, rate of return etc.)
  • Maintaining of all fixed assets, ensuring all assets are tagged and capitalized accordingly
  • Assist in the tracking of the financial impact and margin enhancement proposals related to engineering change quotes to the customer
  • Provide ad hoc financial scenario and cross-sectional financial analysis for visibility and decision making
  • Provide sound and comprehensive financial analysis for the resolution of customer commercial issues
  • Perform general ledger entries
  • Perform standard costing functions as required
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Maintain and update tooling books
  • Maintain customer portals to ensure tooling / engineering milestones are achieved and billed timely
  • Ensure cash collection for engineering changes and tooling
  • Perform BOM audits for new & current programs and engineering changes as required
  • Support any customer tooling audits
  • Comply with audits of the Company’s accounts
  • Adhere to Company Policy and GAAP to secure Company assets and optimize internal controls
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk, improve performance and reduce cost in the business processes
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Senior Business Manager / Controller
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles of publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
