Top Gun Staffing Inc is now hiring for a Purchasing Manager for a Manufacturing Client. This Direct Hire position comes with a robust benefit package, and growth potential within the organization as the company believes in promoting from within. Starting salary from $90,000 annually DOE.
Role Summary
The Purchasing Manager maintains quality and delivery standards while exercising cost control. Will be responsible for following control plans for the appropriate handling and disposition of material and product.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and evaluate raw material supply sources.
• Responsible for price negotiation.
• Monitor inventory levels of inputs to prevent outages
• Eliminate downtime by preventing shortages.
• Establish contracts and create and issue purchase orders to vendors.
• Monitor cost, quality, and delivery performance of suppliers
• Manage dialogue between the organization and its vendors to optimize the working relationship, including vendor corrective action.
• Help manage Safety Performance Measurables (Monthly Inspection, EOS).
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• 3 – 5 years experience in Purchasing, Accounting, and Inventory Control required.
• Manufacturing experience highly preferred
• JIT manufacturing techniques and strong knowledge of material flow
• Negotiation proficiency and cost negotiation techniques
• Knowledge of CMS and other Software for managing workflows, SAP experience highly preferred
• Ability to work overtime as needed
