Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Job description

Under the direction of the Production Manager, plans, assigns, directs and coordinates activities relating to shift operations, including safety, quality, production, and employee relations. Supervises the daily work activities of Production Team Leaders and Production Team Associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises Team Leader(s) & Associates in planning, assigning, directing and coordinating day-to-day activities
  • Assists the Manager in determining/managing appropriate manpower
  • Trains new & transferred employees on their job duties and responsibilities; and cross trains as necessary
  • Ensures standardized work processes and rotation schedules ar adhered to
  • Tracks & reports daily production; drives improvements where necessary
  • Participates and leads process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.
  • Ensures all Company policies, procedures, plant standards and safety rules are consistently adhered to
  • Collaborates with the Manager/HR in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary
  • Maintains employees’ Attendance and Time-Off Policies
  • Provides feedback on work performance, safety, housekeeping, quality, accuracy, quantity, punctuality, job knowledge, adaptability, initiative, teamwork, communication, judgment and comprehension
  • Process performance reviews

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of production supervisory experience or a minimum of five (5) years of team leadership experience in an automotive manufacturing facility.
  • JIT experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and various manufacturing software

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $78,153.00 – $82,485.00 per year
