Skills & Responsibilities
- Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG & TIG welding,
- Proficient with metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions, specifications, engineering drawings, and other job documentation
- Reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
- Assemble and/or weld a variety of thin wall stainless steel, mild steel, or aluminum components
- Work with fixtures/table layouts to assist in the assembly or welding of multi-component parts
- Operate hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs’ needs
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
- Inspection and reporting of goods and products as required by the inspection plan
- Report product quality concerns and defective equipment to supervisors
- Maintain proper tagging & labeling of goods and products
- Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position
- Inspect and maintain equipment or notify supervisor or maintenance department of equipment issues
- Perform housekeeping tasks as required
- Performs all functions in a safe and productive manner
- Keeps equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition
- Perform modifications and repair work to customer supplied systems
Requirements & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years manufacturing experience
- Minimum 3-5 years welding experience
- Minimum 3-5 years fabrication experience
- Vocational or college level welding program completion required
