Job Description
- Analyze and recommend software, hardware, and usage of new and existing database and computer equipment
- Assist Information Systems Manager in prioritization of project backlog
- Design and develop information systems protocol and procedures and assist in data systems application development and/or deployment
- Diagnose failures and arrange for repairs of computer, hardware, software, and related equipment
- Plan, arrange, and install additions to plant network, mainframe terminals, other data and communication devices, or related support equipment, including maintenance on computer hardware and software systems
- Develop and maintain written standards for the configuration of the plant PC network and PC workstations
- Design, implement, and audit data backup procedures and schedules for computers and data systems
- Conduct or arrange user training for new or upgraded software or new users
- Maintain work areas in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
- Manage supply and spare parts inventory levels at economical levels to minimize equipment downtime
- Establish and maintain cabling, software licensing, warranty history, and equipment inventory records
- Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities

Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in this field or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience required
- Experience in a large facility/manufacturing environment preferred
- Leadership/supervisory role experience (or be able to show you’re ready to assume a leadership role to plan, assign, and follow up on support activities)
- Must understand the standard technology used in our large-scale distributed network and only need to learn where things are and how they are connected
- Knowledge of the application software we use is a huge plus, but not required
- Responsible for internal and external contacts involving corrections or adjustments requiring tact, judgment, and proper conduct
- Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
- Light physical exertion; able to lift up to 20 pounds; physical movement includes some repetitive motion with twisting and bending to accomplish installs
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE
- Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines
