Top Gun staffing has partnered with an outstanding client in the Birmingham, AL area to bring on a top notch Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of AIAB/Core tools, project management, and computer operations.

This position requires the candidate to take honesty and integrity very seriously, along with being able to collaborate with all levels of the organization. Basic responsibilities:

  • Required to work with all departments on the development of new products in order to meet customer and TS 16949 requirements

  • Successfully work on Advanced Product Quality Planning, scorecards, and work with cross functional teams on the development of new and existing components to meet critical customer deadlines

  • Implementation of new procedures and processes in pre-production stages of product launches in compliance with customer requirements

  • Train operation team members on quality disciplines

  • Collaborate with all levels of the plant

  • Accountable for customer concerns and addressing/fixing any issues

  • Accountable for APQP, especially deliverables as per program requirements

  • Accountable for ensuring updates and maintenance of D/PFMEA, control plans, and RPN glide path reductions on PFMEA

  • Analyze and improve statistical data including continuous improvement/corrective actions

  • Review and analyze approved Labs on all metrics during Eng. changes

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Post-Secondary Graduate with a technical degree, diploma, or certificate in Quality Engineering (CQE)

  • 3 years of relevant experience

  • Tier I Automotive or similar quality engineering experience with new program launch

  • Project Management experience

  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret internal procedures, documents and processes, internal and customer requirements, flow diagrams, and business correspondences
