Top Gun staffing has partnered with an outstanding client in the Troy, MI area to bring on a top notch Senior Chemical Commodity Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing tools, along with VA/VE and cost analysis knowledge.
This position requires the candidate to take honesty and integrity very seriously, along with being able to collaborate with all levels of the organization. Basic responsibilities:

Stay up to date with the current market with suppliers, technology, and processes
-
Ensuring targets for Costs (purchasing and productivity indexes), Cash (PT&C), Quality (PPM and incidents) and Delivery budgets are met for their commodity

Ability to develop and implement special projects related to cash and squeeze improvements relating to OEM directed components

Lead the development and implementation of Quality, Cost, and Delivery Improvement programs

Negotiate existing contracts and develop new contracts
-
Conduct negotiations for commodities responsible

Effectively use Lean Manufacturing tools
Knowledge/Skills desired:

Requirements:

B.S. Degree within Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Finance
