Tool Crib Assistant
The tool crib attendant issues tools, dies and equipment to workers, maintains records of issued tools, and monitors the tool crib inventory. An attendant also receives new tools into the organization and schedules preventative maintenance on the equipment.
Responsibilities:

Issue tools and equipment to maintenance personnel while recording the issues and returns

File, index and update inventory cards and record tools received from stockroom

Inspect new and repaired tools and equipment for proper operation

Manage all Receiving functions, including processing of receipts, tagging/labeling, proper storage and placement of products in the Crib

Ensure required items are returned by the employee prior to distributing a replacement as outlined by the company (i.e.: gloves, grinding shield, glasses, etc.)

Write requisitions and tallies for the repair or replacement of tools.

Responsible for keeping the Stock Room organized and clean at all times

Perform necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Experience in the automotive industry a plus

Good knowledge of machine shops and mechanical maintenance tools and their repair.
