Qualifications

8+ years of standard costing and accounting experience within a manufacturing environment

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

Expert proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, lookups and other advanced functions and formulas

Track record of success working both independently and collaboratively

Strong business & finance acumen, understanding of the business, and interconnectivity of financials

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Prior in-depth work experience with an ERP system is mandatory – SAP or SAP Business by As the Plant Controller you will drive success and decision making with collaborating teams

The Plant Controller will be responsible for:

Executes and maintains standard cost accounting, including responsibility for the accuracy and periodic updating of standard costs

Analyzes, reports on, and monitors inventory and manufacturing variances including labor efficiency, material usage and scrap and the related cost impact

Identifies opportunities for improvement and works cross-functionally to scope and lead projects to capture those opportunities

Maintains an effective system of internal control and ensures that general ledger accounts are accurately stated

Performs monthly closing of financials for the plant in accordance with GAAP with income statement and balance sheet responsibility, including journal entries and reconciliations

Provides financial reporting, planning and analysis for the Natick manufacturing site and related warehouses, including preparing and analyzing operational metrics to drive gross margin expansion initiatives

Reviews and monitors cycle counting and physical inventory counting processes

Coordinate with the Operations and Commercial teams to identify additional distribution (warehouse) locations

Provide financial and ROI analysis to senior management to support such plans

Collaborate with the SVP Operations to build financial models to forecast short and long-term gross profit margins

Develop KPIs to measure margin improvements
