Top Gun Staffing is hiring for a Direct Hire Manufacturing Supervisor. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to press operations in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in press operations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of press operators to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the press room.
- Monitor and maintain press machines, ensuring they are in good working condition and performing at optimal levels.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Assign work tasks to press operators and ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Conduct regular inspections of the press room to identify and address any safety, quality, or productivity issues.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, quality control, and production planning, to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts required for press operations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to create a safe working environment.
- Analyze production data and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Train and mentor press operators, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their performance goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical or vocational degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in press operations within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of press machines, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality output.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for production planning and reporting.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed and adapt to changing production demands.
