Payroll Benefits Specialists

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for providing timely and accurate company-wide payroll processing and benefits administration, HR operations, and data related employee information.Day to day HR operational tasks are also the responsibility of this role.


  • Manage the payroll system, payroll preparation and payroll administration responsibilities, ensuring the accuracy of salaries and wages to all employees, preliminary and final payroll reports, time and attendance management, and group benefits administration
  • Maintain a wide variety of payroll information for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance
  • Verify a variety of payroll related information for the purpose of ensuring accurate distribution of funds and payroll
  • Monitor time and attendance records, and ensure compliance with statutory holidays, time off, overtime, premiums and averaging agreements
  • Process and balance pay related components of employee programs
  • Support and comply with all TS16949 & ISO14001 procedures and work instructions.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, and claims
  • Assist with other HR duties and projects as required


  • Post- Secondary diploma, certificate or degree in Human Resources Management or Payroll (preferred), or Accounting, Business, Finance
  • Automotive Manufacturing experience preffered
  • Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in payroll
  • Advanced proficiency with payroll and HRIS programs and applications and software (ADP, StoreForce)
  • Ability to take initiative to problem solve to get stuff done; while also holding the ability to adapt to changing priorities; results focused
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting interpersonal relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and team members
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness to safeguard sensitive and confidential information
