Manufacturing/Process Engineer
Leads process development, production start-up, production support and the implementation of engineering changes and process improvements.
Shift: 1st M-F with some weekends possible
Key Responsibilities
•Researching new technologies and implementing them for continuous improvement
•Documenting and training manufacturing team on new processes
•Establishing process flow and operations to make a part for new quotes
•Establish specifications for new equipment and get quotes
•Roll out of equipment and processes to plant floor
•Investigate and research continuous improvement and development projects
•Work with cross functional team to update and maintain plant layout drawings
•GD&T stack-up calculations, CAD updates for parts, fingers and new dies (process drawings, sign offs, checking prints)
•Provide technical assistance to sales and customers to influence product design and provide viable cost proposals and manufacturing processes to meet respective customer needs
•Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including IATF 2016:16949, ISO14001 (EMS), and Employee Handbook
Education/Skills/Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from four-year college or university
•Experienced in creating Manufacturing Process Prints, Standard Work Instructions and Job Element Sheets
•A minimum of 5+ years experience with Automotive Manufacturing is required
•Familiarity working with various machining equipment including CNC, lathe and mill
•Working knowledge of G-code programming and operations
•Proficient with GD&T
