Job Summary:
Top Gun Staffing is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our automotive manufacturing team. The Production Planner will be responsible for developing production schedules, coordinating material requirements, and ensuring efficient production operations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in production planning within the automotive manufacturing industry.
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: $60,000 to $73,000 DOE.
Responsibilities:

Develop production schedules and plans based on customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.

Experience with SAP, ERP and MRP systems.

Experience with Raw Materials.

Experience with Planning and Scheduling.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and procurement, to understand production requirements and constraints.

Analyze production orders, customer forecasts, and inventory levels to determine optimal production quantities and scheduling.

Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and components required for production.

Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks or issues, and take proactive measures to resolve them.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date production data, including work orders, material usage, and production yields.

Conduct regular capacity planning and utilization analysis to optimize production efficiency and resource allocation.

Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to ensure adherence to product specifications and standards.

Provide regular updates on production status, highlighting any delays, risks, or potential disruptions to management and relevant teams.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning processes, systems, and efficiency.

Coordinate and communicate production schedule changes or adjustments to stakeholders and affected departments.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in all production planning activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Relevant certifications or training in Materials and Production Planning is a plus.

3+ years of Manufacturing.

Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar role within the automotive manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of production planning principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Proficiency in using production planning and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems/software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze production data.

Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and related supply chain dynamics.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
