Top Gun Staffing Inc Is working with a Manufacturer in the greater Dresden area to fill a Direct Hire Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position.
Role Summary
Direct and co-ordinate the Shipping/Receiving functions, personnel and material movement on a daily basis for automotive manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
Direct the shipping, receiving and handling of all in/out bound material.
Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of all Shipping/Receiving employees and ensure that established procedures are followed.
Ensure that employees work in a safe manner and that Company safety procedures are strictly adhered to
Participate in safety audits and address all safety concerns either raised by workers or from the safety audits.
Complete Accident Investigations for all accidents and ensure corrective measures are taken
Ensure that workers are properly trained to perform their jobs safely
Participate in all work refusals.
Work in conjunction with the Materials Manager in order to establish and implement procedures, policies and continuous improvement activities related to material logistics.
Complete daily Standardized Work Sheet and related weekly audits
Initiate and conduct department and continuous improvement meetings as required.
To ensure that the EOS objective is achieved in your department, and or department and shift.
Conduct monthly safety talks
Coordinate expedites of production material from suppliers as needed in support of established production requirements
Track and coordinate returnable dunnage to all assigned suppliers
Maintain scheduled delivery log
