Responsible for leading and supporting procurement activities within the Commodity and Program functions and initiatives at the plant level.
? Ensure high levels of supplier quality. Assess needs and provide solutions for supply issues that arise, to ensure builds are on target.
? Provide presentation of analysis for procurement recommendations and long-term strategic planning to senior management.
? Charged with the management of examining opportunities to create actions for continuous improvement and accessing the efficiency of current processes.
? Facilitate negotiations with prospective vendors, including pricing, commercial terms and
conditions, freight terms, and contract management.
? Collaborate with engineering to ensure all purchased automotive components were within the required specifications and looking for areas to maximize value.
? Responsible for an average of over $3M of cost reduction on a yearly basis.
? Experience in handling different automotive programs, ability to to manage 100 different suppliers with an average annual spend of almost $100M.
? Advanced user of QAD, advanced user of SAP procurement systems, and skilled in all Microsoft office programs.
