Role Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, responsible for personal commitment to lead, direct, & support CIP budgeting and tracking, customer tooling budgeting, tracking, cost collection, and billing. Responsible for assuring sound trackable accounting methods and controls for: fixed assets, customer tooling, ED&D expenses, and prepaid assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Controlling and accounting for billable tooling
  • Controlling and accounting for CIP
  • Accounting for fixed assets, rolling CIP into production, auditing, and maintaining asset records
  • Accounting for prepaid assets and Leases
  • Reconciling inter-company balances
  • Assist in AP/AR as needed with follow-up on outstanding invoices / posting payments
  • Cash reconciling, banking updates
  • Responsible for Tax reporting, 1099, corporate requests
  • Responsible for updating and submitting Risk Management questionnaires
  • Prepare weekly cash forecast
  • Assure Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations are maintained monthly with adequate support for all accounts assigned
  • Communicate regularly with the accounting team and management to ensure accurate financial information is presented
  • Assist with all external and internal audit
  • Special projects as needed

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • SOX testing experience
  • 2 years of cost accounting
