- Job: Tool and Die Maker
- Compensation: Up to 35 an hour
- Location: Mason MI
- Type: Full-time/Direct hire
Duties:
– Fabricate and repair tools, dies, and fixtures using hand tools and precision equipment
– Operate various machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to shape and finish parts
– Read blueprints, sketches, or CAD files to determine specifications and dimensions of the tool or die
– Set up and operate stamping presses to test newly fabricated tools or dies
– Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing tools or dies and make necessary repairs or modifications
– Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop new tooling concepts
Skills:
– Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
– Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or CAD files
– Experience with operating stamping presses is preferred
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members
