Job Summary: Repair and maintain tooling for automotive components
Essential Functions:
- Basic understanding of Tooling
- Basic repair or replacement of broken or damaged components of injection molds with use of hand tools, power tools and shop equipment according to tight specification
- Preventative maintenance on existing molds
- Tool inspection as needed including measurements using all methods available, marks and writes dimensions and reference points by use of such hand tools as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and comparators
- Preparation for shipment of molds to outside vendors
- General shop cleaning and organizing
- All other duties
Education:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
Experience/Skills/Requirements:
- Preferred tool setting experience with carbide & PCD round tools.
- Proven mechanical aptitude with a general understanding of dimensional mathematics
- Must be proficient at reading and interpreting prints
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Must be analytical and make sound decisions pertaining to job functions
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Must be cooperative and work well in team environment
- Work flexible hours and overtime as needed
