Scope of the Logistics Supervisor Position
Supervise and coordinate all Purchasing, Production Control and Logistics activities between Suppliers and Customers and all areas of organization.
All aspects & functions involved in Materials; Customer Service, Shipping, Receiving and Purchasing and the effectiveness and productivity of the Materials department, supporting the production, engineering and quality organizations of the division.
Qualifications
- Two years of manufacturing or logistics experience preferred with exposure to Lean Six Sigma
- Your experience with supervising front line staff in a performance-driven, challenging environment
- Microsoft Suite including Excel comprehension preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others, effective coaching, leading a team-based approach to decision-making

- Managing off-site and on-site inventories including material movements, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations
- Supporting production activities through coordination with production, the production planner, the raw material planner, and other personnel
- Coordinate activities relating to the supply or condition of containers, trucks, trailers, parts, dunnage, etc. ensuring shortages/overstock situation are remedied and any damage is reported.Building effective strategies to maintain logistics support while reducing quantities of materials in inventory
- Assist and support the department manager in all day-to-day activities in Logistics Department: equipment maintenance scheduling, housekeeping, safety programs, training courses, meetings.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
