The Electrical Maintenance Technician will
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed electromechanical equipment and effectively troubleshoot complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery and systems
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair
- Be a valued member of the maintenance team, interacting with production, industrial maintenance, and cross-functionally to ensure reliability of equipment, service, safety, and continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three plus years’ electrical maintenance experience in heavy industrial environment
- Strong knowledge and experience with industrial electronics, AC/DC theory, power transmission, test instruments and instrumentation, VFD’s, PLC’s, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of industrial equipment using schematic diagrams and equipment manuals as guides
- Experience with Fanuc Robotic, Siemens, Allen Bradley Controls
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation
- Great teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent work experience
- Steel industry experience
- Welding and light fabrication experience
Schedule
- Second shift position
- Monday – Friday 2pm – 10:30
- Overtime as needed
