SUMMARY
Reports to Plant Manager, selected candidate is accountable and responsible for managing and directing the Quality Assurance (QA) department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Spearhead the quality assurance and quality control programs.
Effectively, manage and coach quality team.
Integral member of the plant leadership team, fostering positive, proactive and collaborative relationships. Areas of responsibility:
Vendor quality
Process quality
Customer quality
Compliance with regulatory and customer audits. Assess the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and compare to
Customer specifications.
Partner with Purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external
suppliers.
Analyze quality performance data against defined parameters.
Recommend methods, materials, and layouts for improvements based on manufacturing needs and capabilities.
Knowledge, understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
Responsible for respective department’s overall performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience required.
7+ years of related experience in similar industry and management. Experience working in a global organization preferred.
Understanding of Thermal products and related industry preferred.
Communication
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or employees. Ability to present information to top management, customers, employees, and/or boards of directors. Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to intellectual and practical problems (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.). Understanding of and experience with SPC, DOE, and FMEA methodology.
