Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to join our automotive manufacturing team. The Tooling Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various tooling equipment used in our production processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in automotive manufacturing. Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of tooling equipment, including molds, dies, fixtures, jigs, and other related components.

Collaborate with the Tooling Manager and Production Supervisors to ensure tooling equipment is in optimal condition for production operations.

Conduct preventive maintenance activities on tooling equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and efficiently, diagnosing issues and implementing appropriate solutions.

Assist in the setup and installation of new tooling equipment as required.

Monitor tooling performance and identify areas for improvement in terms of quality, productivity, and cycle time.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and maintain proper records of maintenance schedules and equipment history.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, engineering, and quality assurance, to address tooling-related issues and implement effective solutions.

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in tooling technology, suggesting process improvements and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications, Completed apprenticeship or relevant vocational training in Tooling or related field is preferred.

Ability to Weld and repair Tooling.

Must be able to provide your own tools.

1 year of experience in a Manufacturing environment.

Proven experience as a Tooling Technician or similar role in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of tooling equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting techniques.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Familiarity with a variety of tooling equipment, including molds, dies, fixtures, and jigs.

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Solid understanding of safety protocols and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues quickly and efficiently.
